Who is Samantha?

​Actually, most folks call me Sam.

Accounting is something I happen to be great at.  However, I'm great at several other things too.  Sometimes I feel like my life is a contradiction.  I use Starlink to access the internet and collaborate with high-tech minds and companies, but I have to start a fire in my wood stove in order to heat my log home in the winter.  I'll sit in front of the computer screen during the day, but spend weekends several miles deep in the wilderness without a blip of cell service.  I guess I like the extremes.

At the end of the day, the outdoors is truly home to me.

There is something innately right about foraging, harvesting, hunting, processing, and cooking your own food.  I'm all about wild game and native foods sourced locally.

​it's also way more fun than picking out plastic-wrapped meat in a grocery store.

Conservation is one of my highest priorites.

A personal principle that I live by, is if I'm going to take something from our wonderful world, it is my responsibility to give back just as much- or more.
